National Champ!

The final day of racing was met with rain and light winds.  Because I had not had a bad race yet, I didn't have to sail at all today to take the overall win.  I did have every intention of sailing, though, but when the Race Committee blew the harbor start in the rainy conditions, I decided to pass on the day.  It was a good call.

One more race was sailed in drifter conditions.  Charlie Buckingham took the win and moved up to 3rd overall.  Thomas Barrows finished with a solid single digit to remain in 2nd.

It was nice to watch from the motor boat without the pressure of the regatta to deal with!  I was not jealous of the sailors drifting around!

Tuesday morning I leave for Halifax for our World Championships.  The first day of racing is August 20th.  Stay tuned.

Final Nationals results can be found here.

Here's me sailing into the finish on Day Two.
